***transfer Friendly Schools In The Northeast?

does anyone know any prestigious "transfer friendly" schools in the northeast for biological science majors????

by transfer friendly i mean...

-not totally impossible to transfer to. (for instance, i heard brown does not admit transfers that need financial aid)
-guaranteed housing.
-all around enouraging attitude toward transfer students.

i'm already applying to cornell, but if anyone could let me know of some more "trasnfer friendly" schools it would be greatly appreciated.

i've heard things about upenn? columbia??

what about..
-johns hopkins???
-carnegie melon?
-case western?
-duke?
-dartmouth?
-other ivies?

..by the way, i'm a 3.85(AT LEAST, after this semester) soph at SUNY Albany (a new york state resident) with LOADS of great extracurriculars (RA, pres. honor society, bio club, pre-med club, sporadic volunteering, organized a food drive)

Cornell had a transfer admit rate higher than 30% last year.

dont let the high admit rate fool you with cornell. it all depends on the school at cornell you wish to transfer into. for example, transfer into arts and sciences is very very competitive, only about 65 get admitted. but CALS has a higher admit rate than arts and sciences. dont just look at the overall acceptance rate when looking at schools to transfer to.

Also, Cornell transfer rate looks high because they offer some applicants guaranteed transfer after they spend a year at another school. So don't let the numbers fool you. (By the way, the schools that offer GT are ILR, CALS and Human Ecology)
