transfer friendly.universities/colleges

Hello CC friends.I was just wondering what are some good transfer friendly universities/colleges?

Bummmmp!!!!!!!!!!!

you're probably gonna wanna be a little more specific if you want real responses, because there are actually quite a few good transfer friendly colleges. What are ya looking for in a school?

USC (University of Southern California) has some of the easiest transfer policies (in comparison to most universities ranked in the US News Top 30, though I do feel USC is vastly overranked).

I had several friends from UC Riverside and UC Irvine who tried to transfer to the higher caliber UC's (UC Berkeley, UCLA, and even UCSD) and got rejected, but they had no problems transferring to USC. Seems that USC's lenient transfer policies are a consequence of it becoming much more selective in admitting freshmen...(perhaps b/c USC has been trying to bolster its US News ranking).

i'm happy to know that USC is transfer friendly!!!!
what about:Northwestern , Syracuse, Ithaca , Vassar , Boston college , Stanford , Emory?

Northwestern and Stanford are difficult transfers in my experience; (however, I transferred to Northwestern, so I guess it's not THAT difficult.) :)

In terms of getting in? I would say UNC-CH, Michigan, UCB, UCLA, Emory, and Northwestern are all easier than first year admissions.

"In terms of getting in? I would say UNC-CH, Michigan, UCB, UCLA, Emory, and Northwestern are all easier than first year admissions" but it's much more difficult to get High GPA in college then High school...What would be the minimum GPA for entrance?

Transfer Students

* Total number of transfer students who applied: 774
* Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 137

From collegeboard.com for Northwestern, u be the judge

I got in as a transfer to Northwestern.
Depends on where you're transferring from, I imagine, and how well you did there.

"Transfer Students

That's +- 17% holly crap!!!!! i have some college credits(mechanical engineering) very bad gpa at college. How important is the college gpa? What about a 33 on the ACT does it count? And if i'm going to study something else other the engineering?

I'm sure that they'll take your ACT scores into account.

My transfer GPA wasn't anything special, but I came from a well-regarded school, and had high SATs.

Engineering is one of NU's most difficult programs, in terms of entry requirements... I think that the School of Comm. is probably the easiest.

" think that the School of Comm. is probably the easiest" perfect!!! i like communications!!!

Up Up Up Up Up Up Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

University of Florida is not that hard to transfer into.

Check out this site

U of Virginia reputedly has looked kindly on transfer applicants from community colleges.

I think what is more important is good transfer schools that are cheap.
