Alright i'm a bit confused, I go to a high school in Texas at the moment and I want to transfer to UT-Austin after my freshmen year at a community college. I will be starting summer classes as soon as i graduate. What exactly do I need to do to get into UT as the transfer, like what classes I need to take at the CC and should I keep on taking the SAT or not? Also when should I begin my application process and I heard it is a lot easier to get in to Ut as a transfer, i'm definitely not top 8%, otherwise I wouldn't be in this forum. I love the campus and the vibe I just need a little bit of help, thank you all who give me informative information. I will be checking this post for a while to so i'll keep up on it.

It is for ACC but practically all Texas CC’s have similar classes.

Why do you need to keep taking SAT? If your scores are really low you’ll take placement test at CC to go to remedial classes (THEA, Compass, Accuplacer)

These are minimum scores when you don’t have to take any placement test

If you have high scores you can get credit for certain core classes

I have no idea how it works at CC, you need to ask there.

You will need 30 transferrable credits. Take courses that will suit your major especially if your planning to enroll in CNS or Cockrell then you should be taking math and science classes (Physics).

Just have GPA of at least 3.5 and you should be okay… unless your going for Mcombs or Cockrell. With these programs you should have around a 3.8.

Oh, and to transfer to UT’s engineering program you will need calculus

UT does not need SAT or ACT scores, but if you want to study engineering you can submit your SAT math score (600 or 650 not sure) to fulfill the Calculus requirement.

btw I hear CNS and COLA are the easiest majors to get into.
Hope this helps!
