Transfer from a more prestigious school

<p>Hey guys,
I am in a sticky situation.
I am a Freshman at Texas Tech University. It is a prestigious school and one of the top 5 colleges in Texas but i have not really enjoyed the college and don't have many friends who are in the same major/classes. I feel kind of homesick and i don't have any support here.</p>

<p>I want to transfer to UT Dallas but it is ranked lower but i have many resources and friends there. I can say that some of the top 15 in my school went to UTD although they got admitted to better colleges.
I will transfer my third year to a school that is suited for my major anyways but for the first two years:</p>

<p>Why don’t you just try to transfer there now?</p>

<p>They have certain course requirements that i couldn’t take at Tech because those courses were already full and it will take me at least two semesters to finish those courses.</p>
