Transfer from a top 15 University to another?

Is it easier? or harder? thoughts?

I dont really want to but I've always wondered. Thanks!

another = to a higher ranked university*

Not to be mean or anything but there have been a ton of posts about that, so I suggest doing a little bit of search about that before starting a new thread.

I doubt I will though. I’m pretty satisfied with my family being there. By the way, this is called ‘lateral transfer’ apparently. Whatever, thanks for responding back then lol. LATER

I’m wondering a somewhat similar question. I just finished my freshman year at UC-Berkeley (a top 20 uni) with a 3.8~ GPA. I’m thinking about transferring to another top 20 private**** university. The main reason is that I think I might like a private university more than a large, public university.

Is a 3.8~ GPA from UC-Berkeley competitive? Do I have an advantage coming from my university or is the ground still somewhat leveled?

to answer the original, i think it’s easier if you have a high gpa to go along with your school. there were lots of people from good schools who transferred in with me to cornell, like from vassar, william and mary, one wharton who wanted to come to cornell’s business program for better fit, berkeley, etc.

demoz - yes, that’s definitely competitive and certainly possible

wow, someone actually transferred from wharton to cornell? LOL
