Hi,

I am studying my first year BSc in Business Administration in a university under the University of London. I would like to transfer to a university in the US in my second or third year. Can someone tell me if the credits from the UK uni are transferable in the US and whether they hold the same value? Also, how hard would the transferring process be?

Thanks,
Reem

Oh man, you’re going to have to talk to someone at the University you want to transfer to. But usually you’ll need to transfer in as a third year student-- meaning you start your third year in the U.S.

I highly doubt that it’s possible to transfer from the UK to the US or vice versa. The systems are very different.

E-mail admissions at the universities you were wanting to transfer to directly for the best answer. You could also ask a counselor at your current university if they have any experience navigating international transfers.

Also think of a Plan B: Perhaps study abroad for a semester in the US, and also begin aiming to apply to graduate programs here.
