hey, i'm an engineering freshman, currently at berkeley - i applied and was accepted to transfer to columbia. should i?

(i know that berkeley ranks higher for engineering... but other factors...?)

"i know that berkeley ranks higher for engineering"

if you know it ranks higher, then why move?

i'm asking about other factors... columbia students are supposedly better... columbia offers better research? smaller classes/more intimate education...?

Why are you still wondering about transferring out of Berkeley if you've already applied and have been accepted? There must be some reason...

i also applied to stanford (haven't heard - if i get in there, i'll definitely go) - i just figured i'd apply to columbia too (used some of the same essays)... and weigh columbia vs. berkeley if it came to that (my family is in nyc) - berkeley students kinda **** me off, and private colleges are supposed to be more personal etc...?

UCB is a great place for engineering, competitive yes, but good. Columbia isnt a place u go for engineering at all.... and highewr ranked is like UCB- rank 5 Vs. Columbai - Rank 50

Im not sure of the rankings exactly, but Harvard is like 41 (in engr)... so thats where the Ivy's stand
