Transfer from Binghamton to Barnard. Help? Advice?

I am currently a sophomore at Binghamton University. Quite frankly, I am really unhappy here and it’s because I miss being around my family. I wish to transfer to school somewhere in the city, I am just a bit afraid of having to transfer to a school that will be worse than where I am now (I mean how good the school is). Can anyone offer me some advice to how transferring to Barnard was, how the application/interview was? Also, I do think Barnard is a bit of a stretch for me but I am not sure since I have not been able to find too much information about transferring. Can anyone help me with this as well? Thank you.
Freshman gpa 3.5 (I had swine flu in September freshman year and had a hard time recovering after that.)

High school GPA 3.75UW (went to specialized high school in nyc) tons of ec’s

Also looking int NYU and Baruch

I think you are accurate that Barnard might be “a bit of a stretch” – but just that, “a bit”, certainly not impossible – and I don’t see how you can go wrong if you are also applying to Baruch. So I would say, go for it – and good luck!
