Transfer from Canada into Business School

I know there is already a thread on Transfer from Canada but I had a few questions. I'm from University of Alberta (in Canada) and wondering what my chances are to get into business school at the top U.S colleges. I'm only in general sciences right now and entering my 3rd year of university. I have a overall gpa of 3.5 and business prereqs GPA (for University of Alberta) of 3.7. I have never written the SAT since it was never required, will I still have to write it if I applied for business school? Thanks alot!

for the first question i’ll be very frank with you

international students don’t really have a high chance of transferring to a university unless you’re spectacular or some-what (in-state>out-of-state>out-of-country)

second i doubt any school will push you into taking the SATs
SAT are pretty much high school to college test and i have yet to see any school requiring a SAT score from transferring

as for getting into a “top” B-school in the US…
it really depends on what school you’re thinking about
some universities have a higher international transfer rate than others so… you know how that goes

solutions
try to transfer into a school before business school and take courses in the US for a year before trying to transfer to a B-school
have a friend that did that at a CC for one year, coming from canada, and he transferred into Mc.Combs without any problems

or better yet try to transfer into the school you would like to go to B-school for
most B-school require that you get accepted into their university before aiming for their specialty schools

just my 2 cents btw good luck!
