Transfer from Carnegie Mellon to Wesleyan

Just be honest. What are my chances? I'm a freshman at CMU looking to transfer to Wesleyan.

College Stats:

Projected GPA between 3.7 and 4.0
I'm a Humanities Scholar here
EC's: Newspaper (Might have an editorial position next semester), Women's Leadership Institute, some volunteering

HS Stats:

GPA: 3.6
SAT: M 670/CR 770/W 780
SAT II: Latin 690, Math I 690, Lit 710
EC's: President of 3 clubs, volunteered, played a club sport all 4 years, wrote for newspaper, etc.

What can I do to distinguish myself?

Still interested in responses

No offense but honestly, but your “projected GPA” is not that useful. You just came out of high school, and while you are a humanities scholar, college, especially at a place like CMU is very tough. There are probably a lot of bright people like you, some who spend many many hours studying a day. If you want a 3.7-4.0 you will have to work very hard for it.

That being said, get a 3.7-4.0 and a strong recommendation and write good essays and you can transfer to Wesleyan without too much difficulty. Do some clubs, work very hard and write great essays for your classes. As a freshman in college, it isn’t really easy to distinguish yourself too much; it isn’t expected either unless you want to transfer to Harvard, MIT, or Stanford.
