transfer from CC to a college in germany

ok, so I am planning to apply to several UCs and cal poly SLO, but with tuition on the rise as it is, I am also thinking of applying to Germany’s TUM and TUB. My question is… how do you apply to a college in Germany? (if there is another forum for this, please tell me!)

So, first, I am a German citizen (mom is german, dad is american, automatically naturalized at birth with dual citizenship)

I have taken a year of german (not nearly enough to be fluent) and have spent about a year there, over the course of nine visits.

I have family in Berlin and Munich.

I have a 3.74 GPA (US) approximately 1.78 (GER)

I can take the DSH (language course) during the winter break.

So after all of those steps, how do I apply?

And my major is civil engineering

You need to sit down with your mother, and explore the websites of the universities that you might be interested in. Then you need to contact each of the universities directly and ask what steps you need to follow as a German citizen educated abroad. Get their recommendations for the best intensive German language program to attend before beginning academic classes. It would be best for you to spend a year just working on your academic language skills before you start university-level classes that are taught in German.

Thank You!!! that is great advice!
