Hi! I'm a current junior who goes to a high school in the Dallas area, although not apart of Dallas ISD. It just so happens that I am able to graduate a semester early, meaning I would graduate in December because I only have 2 classes to take due to me taking summer school etc.
Well, I am going to attend CC this summer for Summer I & Summer II so I can earn college credit, and i plan on taking at least 2 college courses at CC during the fall semester while still in HS because I will have such an empty hs schedule.
Then, I would attend CC full time during the spring semester. So I was wondering, is it possible to transfer to UT Austin? In particular, I am looking at UT College of Liberal Arts, because I hope to major in political science, also known as Government:)
Is it possible?
I'm open to answering any questions but I'm new to this site and I never understand forums so sorry if I reply incorrectly or something!:)

I don’t see why not. Complete 30 hours and have a 3.5+ and you should be good.

Ditto to LonghornDan. 30+ hours and 3.5+ GPA = 99% chance of admission.

This is possible… I did something similar- watch your gpa and make sure you are taking courses that transfer.

It’s possible, I transfered with a 3.7 after one year (already had 30+ after first semester).

OOS son transfered to UT with 30 units and 3.5 CC GPA. This was with his not so good HS GPA (2.9-3.0). His essay focused on how he was able to refocus on academics and they took him.

Thank you all! Very helpful:)
I appreciate you all taking the time to answer!:)
