Transfer from Community College or University??

Hey everyone! It would be great if anyone could help me out in anyway...so I don't know if it would be better to transfer from a community college or a university?? I have been accepted to UC Santa Barbara & UC San Francisco but don't know if I should attend one of those or Santa Monica Community College & then transfer after two years to UC Berkeley &/or UCLA (both college of letters & science)-which is where I would like to apply. I am aware of all the credits I need to complete & what to have by my second year prior to applying as a junior transfer to be competitive...but idk, any input?? I never applied to UC Berkeley because I dont think I wouldve gotten accepted with a 4.27 W & 3.6 UW gpa then...(end of junior year)
Please help!!! CC or University transfer?? IM RUNNING OUT OF TIME TO DECIDE!! D:

Honestly, you already got accepted to UCSB. I would just go there, unless money is an issue. I don’t think you got accepted to UCSF; that’s strictly a graduate UC.

Maybe he means SFSU or USF?

I agree with mermaker go to UCSB if it is not a problem to pay for school. University of San Francisco, the private university is also good, but I’d put it second to SB. Community college is still a good consideration if you really want to go to Berkeley or LA, but a four-year might offer a good college ‘experience’ if it matters to you.

Sorry guys! I meant University of San Francisco. Also, I am not from California, I currently reside in South Carolina. I have also been accepted to 2 schools here (Clemson & Wofford) but really want to go to California for my studies. I would just like to know if it would be more convenient to go into the scholars or tap program and attempt to transfer (also cheaper-CC).
Just if this would make any difference or better my chances of getting accepted after my 60 units are completed…thanks a lot for replying!!! It really does help! Also, how long do you have to live in California to qualify for instate tuition??
