I’m currently a Mechanical Engineer Major at CSU Chico and I’m hoping to transfer to Cal Poly in Fall of 2013.

My problem is, when I went to assist.org to see what upper division classes transferred there were very few. Only Chemistry, Calc, and Physics transferred.

So in the meantime what classes do I take? I have already taken Graphics 1, and Manufacturing Processes and assist.org says those do not qualify for Cal Poly. Not really sure what to do?

any help or advice would be good thank you.

Cal Poly’s courses are pretty unique… so I’m surprised any would transfer. Most Engineering curriculum is pretty structured as they do not follow the standard GE courses that, say, a business major would be required to take.

A friend transferred in from a community college, and found out that none of his CC units… not a single one… counted toward his engineering degree. This meant another 4 years to get his degree.

Best of luck.

Just wondering… why don’t you like Chico’s engineering department… it too has a high reputation?

i love chico states program but I just love the city of san luis obispo and I eventually want to work for Abraxus Engineering down there when I graduate. If I move there I can start an Internship and get a jump start.
