I am currently a freshman in the College of Business at the University of Michigan Dearborn. I would like to transfer to the Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor, but I have some concerns. Ross requires 27 credits be obtained before being able to transfer, and I only have 22 credits currently. Does Ross take admissions for Winter, or Fall only? Also, would I be considered an outside or inside transfer? I currently have a 3.8 GPA, am a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and have some other considerable extracurriculars. Should I wait to apply for admission, or consider other schools? Is there anything particular that I should do before or during applying? Thanks for any help!
You’re most likely not gonna be able to get transfer directly into Ross. Ross doesn’t accept many outside Umich-AA and the outside transfer rate is like 1% or something ridiculous like that. What is gonna happen most likely is that you’re gonna have to transfer into umich first, and then apply to after a year. They only have one cycle of admissions, the same cycle for everyone. TBH if you’re looking to directly transfer into a business school, you should consider other schools.
