Transfer from LSA to Ross

Currently I'm a student at Macomb Community College

I know transferring from Macomb to Ross is very difficult with only 1% of the incoming class being transfer students but I've been reading about people transferring to LSA then into Ross because it is easier to get accepted into Ross that way and I have a question about it

Lets say at Macomb I have all equivalent coursework for the LSA general education requirements done and Econ 101 and 102 done. I have a total of 60 transfer credits which is the maximum for LSA. Now if I apply to LSA and get accepted could I then immediately apply to Ross as a current u-m student or would I have to at least do a semester of coursework at u-m first before being considered at u-m student?

Basically what I'm trying to do is avoid being an "external" transfer student because it is nearly impossible to get into Ross that way and all my 60 credits would not be accepted as they only take 45 credits

Ross accepts students for the Fall term.

If you apply for Fall 2012 admission, you have to spend Fall and Winter at LSA and apply for Fall 2013 Ross admission during the Winter 2013 term.

If you apply for Winter 2013 admission, you have to spend Winter at LSA and apply for Fall 2013 Ross admission during Winter 2013, your first semester at LSA.

Either semester you are admitted, you must spend time at LSA.

Ok thanks!

When is the deadline for LSA winter admissions?

If you want to apply for Winter 2013 admission, the application doesn’t open for that term until August 1st. Fall 2012 transfer applications are closed unfortunately.

At this point you may want to think about an MBA unless you had plans for Law School.
