transfer from material science to electrical engineering

hi guys I am currently enrolled in a master of science program in material science, and I want to transfer to another university because my girlfriend is there, I absolutely have to go there, and that university does not have the material science, and the closest I could get is electrical engineering, and I am wondering what are some of the good reasons that I could put into my ps to explain why I want to make the transfer. cause I do not know much about electrical enginnering yet, and I want to make my background in material science to be an advantage , since I have a 4 year bachelor degree in that
thanks

Do you even meet the pre-reqs for the program? Do you have an Idea for your focus? This isn’t in the US is it?

You would have an easier time entering a physics or applied physics program than electrical engineering. You would have a lot of remedial courses to take for EE.
