hey, guys i really plan on going to med school after college. how much would a biomedical engineering degree help me get into med school, as oppose to a biology one. i have no prior knowledge of engineering so i dont know if i want to transfer or ever try because of the fear of flunking out of BM engineering. Do you have to have alot of prior knowledge? as far as general biology goes i've aced my AP bio class with a 5 on the exam and a 750 bioM score on the SAT IIs.

lets say i acquire a >3.7-8 GPA my freshman year with courses like bio I,II, chem I, II, cal I, II and physics...what kind of chances do i have of transferring? I'm OOS btw.

would a person with a biomedical engineering have better chances of being accepted to med school with another person with a bio degree and the same GPA and MCAT scores?

PS: I know its insanely difficult to transfer into and to stay in. and how rigorous would it be for me w/o prior engineering experience, knowledge, or interest, only pure bio knowledge.
