Transfer from NJ Community College to Wharton Undergrad

Hi,

I graduated last year from a community college in NJ with an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration. I took a year off to study abroad and now i am planning to transfer my credits to finish my Bachelors Degree. I graduated from my college with a 3.9 GPA, was in a few national honor societies, tutored accounting students and held a few internships.

I am thinking of transferring to U Penn- Wharton School of Business. What are my chances of being accepted?

If you do not think Wharton is not a good choice for me, what is a different school with a solid business program to apply to in the NJ, NY, PA area.

Thank you very much for your opinions!

I’ll take a swing at this. Penn says

Penn actually admits a lower percentage of xfer students than it does frosh. If you don’t think you would have been a strong candidate as a frosh (with great scores, recs, GPA, and ECs) then why now?

I visited Wharton last Fall. They said that they accept ~5 transfer students each year. Internal/External. This was at one of their information sessions.

Try for realistic options. In case you missed this from your previous thread:

There are very few, if any, spaces for Jr transfers. Any transfer must fulfill certain requirements as well as having some dedicated leadership activities at your previous college:
