Transfer from NYU Stern to Georgetown MSB

I'm a freshman in NYU's Stern school of business, but I'm not really happy here and plan on transferring. By the end of first semester at NYU i should have ruffly a 3.5, i had a 4.7 gpa in high school, along with a 1350/1600 SAT. I've heard it could be hard to transfer into other business schools, does it help that i am coming from what is considered a "better" business school and how hard is it to get into Georgetown's business school?

Considering your coming from Stern, I think you have a pretty good shot. What don’t you like about NYU?

Hey I’m an MSB transfer this year and one of my really good friends I just met transferred from Stern to MSB this year and loves it. His state were pretty similar and I’ve heard of two or three people who have done this so I’d say you have a good chance. Although NYU is ranked higher and obviously closer to Wall Street, he chose Georgetown for different aspects NYU could not provide such as small size and more of an international arena.

This is weird because I’m actually considering the same thing. I’m also a current Stern freshman and I want to transfer to Georgetown because the university isn’t how I visioned my college life to be as well as personal reasons dealing with tuition and location. I was wondering if anyone had stats dealing with MSB transfers and maybe some more stories about Sternies transferring to MSB.

EDIT:
And I was wondering if anyone knew of any other good business schools around DC.

Considering your coming from Stern, Georgetown is the best I think in the immediate DC area. UVA, however, has a really good B-School, but its a few hours away from DC
