Hi--

I go to a small-town-small-campus school just 20 miles outside of Boston. I'm paying 24,000$ but feel like this college is undeserving of such money. I don't live on campus, there aren't enough classes, professors aren't the best, the fellow students are also not close to I what for peers (very jocky-football, lacrosse, tennis, basketball, you name it.) etc.

I also don't feel like living at home right now is what I need in life. I think I should get into the city, live with roommates, do my laundry and cooking, you know, learn to live. In doing this, I think there are lot of schools in Boston that are really awesome. Some have ph.d programs (which I eventually hope to get to), beautiful apartments, paid research positions, obviously, one of the best parts, being in the city, and even in some cases, CHEAPER than what in paying right now. I pay 24k$ and I could be going to a school (with all of the above) living in an apartment for less. (Ex. Umass Boston)

Not sure what I should do. Have been measuring pros and cons lately. Comes down to 50-50 every time!

Living at home
-car
-save on living expenses
-comfort of home
-(possibly saving $)

Living away
-learning important life skills
-being in the city 24/7
-better education (ph.d. Programs offered, famous profs, etc.)

Advice?
Also, any advice for a reasonably small college in Boston with good psych program under ...25-30$ that accepts transfer students?
