Hi I am an international student that will enroll in a TOP10 LAC this fall. However, I found something unappealing...(But I have to say the academic and the faculty are great... ) I want to transfer to UChi, Upenn, Brown or Yale this fall. My SAT score is 2240 and the superscore is 2260. What should I do during my 1st year? Does choosing 200 level classes help? My intended major is International Relations/Political Science.
Thank you!

Call each intended school to find out if any of the classes is transferable.
Also you may lose financial aid when you transfer.
The odds are against you as those schools are known for high graduation rate.

If you truly prefer one of those other places, consider deferring enrollment at the LAC, and reapply to the universities as a freshman applicant. But remember that even though the chance of admission as an international freshman are better than the chance of transfer admission, it is still extremely low.
