Transfer from UCI

Hey y’all, I’m gonna be applying to Brown as a Sophomore Transfer from the University of California, Irvine with these stats:

High School :
3.2 UW w/ a total of 10ish AP classes taken
2017 SAT I , 800/730/630 Math II/US History/Biology SAT IIs

College Stats:
DNA TO ORGANISMS BIO SCI 93: A
SAFETY AND ETHICS BIO SCI 194S: Pass
HUMANITIES CORE LEC HUMAN 1A: A
HUMANITIES CORE WRT HUMAN 1A: A-
GENERAL CHEMISTRY CHEM 1A: A+
Which gives me a 3.93 , and i made dean’s list, which probably means nothing to Brown, but w/e. I am very confident that I would be able to maintain this GPA or higher next quarter, since my classes are essentially a continuation of this

College ECs: Quiz Bowl, Have been working in a lab that studies the period of Late Life in organisms, with focus on Drosiphila (Getting Credit for it next quarter)

High School ECs: Debate Team (co-captain), Academic Superbowl, Freshman Mentor, Volunteer work

Awards: 12+ Debate Meet awards, Debate State Quarterfinalist, AP Scholar w/ Distinction, Science Olympiad, etc.

I’m fairly confident I can secure good recommendations from my professors (though I’m not all that chummy w/ them, but they know me tho), and my essays will be good (not being arrogant, just saying). It goes without saying that my high school record is a complete mess, but I’m hoping to impress upon them that I kinda got the kick in the ass I needed to start working in school, and would probably discuss this in one of my essays (if given the opportunity). I would welcome what you guys think, or if you have any suggestions in general. I’m really quite intent on transferring only this year, not next year, b/c I think that’s a bit too late for my comfort. Thanks a lot!

bump (10 chars)

bump again...

brown transfer admissions has been a bit weird lately. last year they took very few people, but the year before they took over 20% of applicants i think, and i believe the primary reason in the decline was a lack of housing for transfer students. that being said, you seem very qualified but it is hard to predict whether or not you'll get in, unless you happen to know what the housing situation is this year.

oh i have no clue :( but im just worried my HS stats will be too detrimental to my chances
