Hey everyone, I am worried that csula will not accept me as a lower division transfer. Is it possible that they will reject
me? I want to transfer from UCR to csula for my sophomore year because UCR is very expensive, but will csula accept lower division transfers?? Thanks everybody! Sorry if i’m very repetitive.
This from the Cal State LA website:
Lower-Division Transfer - An applicant who completes fewer than 60 semester (90 quarter) units of college credit is considered a lower division transfer student. Due to enrollment pressures, most CSU campuses do not admit lower division transfers so that more upper division transfers can be accommodated. Cal State LA is currently not accepting lower division transfer applicants.
I suggest you go to a CCC for a year and then transfer once you have your 60 semester/90 quarter units.
If you decide to go the CCC to CSU route, be sure to confer with a transfer counselor right away.
The requirements for transfer are very stringent and can vary between UC/CSU systems. You would need to speak to the CCC counselor to make sure that the classes you take adhere to the major and/or system you hope to enter. Not all classes will transfer smoothly or meet all requirements between systems.
Good luck
so you guys would suggest going to a community college after my freshman year at UCR?
by the way thank you so much!
