I really need help and I wanted to know if anyone has transferred from UCSD to UCB after their first year. I am hoping to change my major but its impacted at SD so i will need to go to another university to get that major. I know that I will need 90 semester units to transfer. So if anyone out there knows how this can be done, please reply back.

90 Quarter Units* ... I'm in the same boat as you, haha. I've been planning some stuff so that I can transfer within a year. It seems do-able, though.

haha oops. Do you know anything about the Reading/Comp requirement? I got a three on my Lit AP test, so i will have to finish that requirement before i transfer, but I can't find an equivalent class at UCSD.

I don't think you are looking at the right place. I think you are looking at the requirements for community college to UC transfer. Us UC students have something different. It's called the UC Reciprocity Agreement, which basically states that if you finish your GEs at your college you finish Cal's GEs as well. So what I'm basically doing is trying to get all my GEs done this year (and apply this November). It's do-able, but I'm waitlisted for two crucial classes (#1 on both). What college are you in, and why do you want to transfer?

im in erc. I want to major in bioengineering, but its really impacted here. How bout you, what college and major? Also ERC has crazy GEs so there is no way to finish all my GEs in one year. Should i change colleges then? I am really confused and im not sure what classes to take.

ask one of the counselors/advisers about uc reciprocity.

They should set you on the right path about GEs and clarify whether or not you need to finish all GEs or just the lower division ones(which is all except for two courses).

I'm in Warren and I'm an Economics major. ERC is so niceee, haha. I'm going to apply to transfer this year, just to see what happens. I SHOULD have all my GEs done if I get into my waitlisted classes (#1 for both), but if I don't I'll be missing one or two GEs.

My ex-girlfriend goes to Warren. D:

Totally irrelevant -- never mind that.
