Transfer From Umass Boston to Umass Amherst

I'm currently a sophomore at Umass Boston planning to transfer to Umass Amherst for the spring of 2015. I have 52 credits so far and a 2.98 GPA. I'm taking 2 retake classes in the summer for classes that i got a C- in my first semester and if I ace them my GPA will be around a 3.25 by the time I apply. My freshman year I slacked off in school and was working full time so I only got a 2.3 GPA; this year I cut down my hours, took 4 classes last fall, 2 in the winter and 4 in the spring (and I'll take 3 more in the summer) and so far I have had a 3.5 GPA this year including a 4.0 GPA this last spring semester. I plan on transferring to get into their kinesiology and exercise health science program which you need a 3.0 GPA to get into. I'm hoping that my improved grades and strong summer semester grades will be enough to get me into the spring as a junior transfer. I'm taking the fall off to work but what are my chances?
