Transfer from UNC to U. Maryland-College Park

Is it worth transferring back home? I am from MD but go to UNC-Ch and feel very out of place and miss my family and feel guilty for being so far away.

The only thing keeping me here is that I'm afraid I will be behind because not all my credits will transfer and UMD accepts fewer AP credits than UNC and I have full finaid/scholarship package here that I wouldn't have at UMD.

Is it wiser to just graduate a semester early or to transfer colleges and take on the extra debt?

Also, UNC doesn't have an accounting major and I feel like that's what I should study.

If you go to UMD you will be getting in-state tuition. Even if you are getting financial aid now, you will still wont have to pull and arm and a leg if you were to transfer. To me, you sound like you really want to go to UMD, and if you want to major in accounting and see your friends/family, why not transfer? Its better to be happy with your 4 years of college, than miserable.
