I currently go to UNCG. I am a freshman I graduated High School with an associates degree and high school diploma. I am looking to transfer to UNCW. I have pretty good extra circulars and my GPA for high school and college was 3.5 and 3.3 respectively. How do you guys feel about my chances of receiving acceptance into UNCW for the fall of 2015?

Bump

I think it’s possible

If you had to guess what would the percentage be. Also I have been denied before.

If you were denied on the basis of grades, then showing success in college and good grades is likely to improve your chances.

If you were denied on the basis of scores, then at some point, scores become less significant. Some colleges require them for transfers, and some do not require them after an applicant has completed two years of college. So, if you were to apply as a junior, they may or may not consider them.

Also, be sure you have completed what they require and show success in them.If you had poor grades in English in high school, successful completion of freshman English will improve your chances.

A call to UNC W to ask what is considered and what is needed will answer your questions. Also doing well in college will be a determining factor. Seems you have done well so far and that is good.

Test scores don’t matter for transfer. It relies on my college and high school transcript and my essay. I think that’s all they weigh

Then it depends on how you do in college, and how many spaces and transfer applicants there are. Doing your best in college will help because it will demonstrate to the college your ability to succeed in college. It is hard to predict anyone’s chances with so many variables. You have a chance so do your best and apply.
