I am looking to transfer to CSU for fall semester of this year. I will be finishing the freshman year oaf my current college in North Carolina in the next few days. When I applied for colleges after my senior year in high school, I was actually accepted into CSU. I have made the wrong choice by deciding to go to my current school instead, and have had extremely bad experiences here due to a variety of different reasons. I did well first semester and made a 3.2 GPA. For my second semester, I decided to challenge myself with more rigorous classes like Computer Science and struggled the entire semester with coursework. I expect my GPA to drop to a 2.6 worst case scenario (I have a few finals left). I was wondering if I have any hope transferring here with a 2.6 college GPA in addition with my high school transcripts/information that got me accepted to CSU in the first place. Here is my high school information as well:

-2.998 UW GPA

-AP/Honors Courses

-1570/2400 SAT

-Two very strong letters of recommendations from teachers I am very close with and have great relationships with, a really good recommendation from my high school guidance counselor, and a letter from my college guidance counselor and one of my teachers (I do not know if I am allowed to use my high school recommendations still).

-I a very good and well written essay (or so my parents/teachers tell me) about how having cancer as a kid (Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney if you want to know) has impacted me today (will probably need to change this for my new application).

-I have been involved with YoungLife for about 2 years, Neighbor to Neighbor, Soup Kitchens, Co-creator of the "App Club" (we make apps for smartphones/iPods), Special Olympics, and I have worked at a local music store.
