Hey guys, I am a Freshman at UDub. I’m looking to transfer because I intend on doing a CS major and UW has this thing called pre-major where they will consider you for admission after you complete the prerequisites. The demand for admission is too high, an average of 3.8 GPA.
I have looked at schools that I think guarantee a major and here is my list so far:
University of Austin Texas
Texas A&M University
University of British Columbia
These are schools that offer great CS program and I prefer Texas because they give scholarship to international student. I am not too clear about what that means. Perhaps you guys can help me understand what it is and how I can get a scholarship and something about qualifying for in-state tuition with scholarship.
My questions are:
How do I qualify for scholarship at Texas?
In-state tuition at Texas for international student?
How tough are classes at University of Austin Texas?
What are the admission like?
Are all these schools mentioned guaranteeing a major?
P.S please recommending schools other than the ones listed would be great too.
I don’t see so much value in my courses at UDub right now and the tuition fee is way too damn high.
The price does not match the quality.
My main goal in college is to get an internship at a big tech company asap.
My academic Prediction:
GPA: 3.2
