Hey all, I'm currently a freshman at USF (University of South Florida) and received an acceptance letter from UF but decided to go to USF in order to save money (full ride vs paying about 15k a year in student loans) and stay closer to home. Also, I was accepted into the USF Honors college and not the UF one, though looking back it may not be as important as I had thought. I do not regret my decision as of now, and am hoping to transfer to UF after my sophomore year at USF. I'm currently a Biomedical Sciences major, and am contemplating between medical school and pharmacy school, but I know this may change in the future. My SAT score was 2090 (770M, 640R, 680W), ACT 32, and I participated in several extra-curriculars in high school, including community service, but I only belong to a few clubs this semester at USF. I am planning on becoming much more involved next semester/year, I hope. If I make straight A's (maybe a B or two) and take rigorous courses (I'm currently in a 7-year med school program), do you think my chances of being accepted as a transfer student are pretty decent? Does it help that I was already accepted once? I'm also not even sure if I plan on going to UF's graduate school, but feel that graduating from there will give me more "respect" I guess, and help me into more prestigious graduate schools (Johns Hopkins, UC Berekely, and the like). Am I correct in assuming that? Thanks for the help everyone.
Edit: Oh, and I am also Hispanic, which I think helps my chances at least a little bit.

If you were good enough to get into UF in the first place, where you choose to attend should not impact your standing with UF. As long as you keep up what you managed in high school, UF should accept you pretty easily once again. Honestly you’re probably good enough to get into UF after half a semester, where they don’t see any of your USF grades. I’m don’t really know too much either university but that’s generally how it works.
