Transfer from UVA to UPenn Sophomore Year?

Hello everyone. I am a rising freshman at the University of Virginia and I am seeking advice on transferring into my sophomore year (so applying at end of freshman year). I was initially rejected by UPenn's Wharton school. Now I want to give UPenn Wharton another try.

My high school stats:
High school GPA was not valedictorian: 4.30 (weighted), 3.84 (unweighted)
SAT score is not extraordinary, my superscore was 2140. I know I have to retake the SAT to stand a chance, so is it good idea to retake SAT this fall as a college freshman? If I get at least 2300 and a 3.9 in my first year's GPA at UVA. Would colleges see my SAT scores from high school as well? If there is a huge increase in SAT score, would this be beneficial to my chances at getting accepted? Also, I screwed up my AP scores, so do I have to send AP scores as a transfer applicant? Is it recommended that I don't?

When applying, should high school honors and extracurriculars be put onto the application? Because I will be at college for one semester and would not be able to develop much leadership positions, can I list leadership positions from high school? I am trying to do internship in the summer, would this be good on my resume?

You should not go to UVA with the mindset that you will transfer. That’s not a good attitude to have and will taint your college experience. UVA is a wonderful school and you shouldn’t sell it short.

Also, as for any state school, you are going to be with a lot of very smart kids who decided to go to UVA because they either wanted to stay in state, got in from out of state (actually as competitive as the Ivies), or went for financial reasons. So I would not automatically assume you will get a 3.9, especially if your high school was not that rigorous.

^ Ditto. Further, OP should not waste time on SAT’s, which are for HS juniors and seniors.
