Transfer from WashU?

I am currently a freshman at WashU and not really satisfied there. I realized that Northwestern was a far better choice for me when I visited friends at Northwestern. The atmosphere at WashU does not fit me at all and many things just do not fit me. I am involved in many ways but still feel there's a lot lacking and that I will have more opportunities at Northwestern. I did not get in RD last year (I should have applied ED) and am looking for a second chance at the school. My high school GPA was a 3.5 and I graduated cum laude. My freshman first semester GPA is a 3.3 (17 credits courseload, all pre-med and electives). My SATs were pretty high, 2250/2400 (720, 740,720) and I took a lot of AP courses and I have a lot of ECs and a strong hook.

Am I off by a long shot to Northwestern due to my grades? I am really looking to go there and it was my first choice as a high school senior.

Leticia-With the transfer deadline for next fall not till May 1---you have time to strengthen your GPA. I believe your college GPA is nothing to sneeze at given the rigor of pre-med, it does fall within the realm of possibility. If you feel strongly about it being a better fit for you, then you have EVERYTHING to gain by applying as a transfer. G'Luck!
