I'm looking for some much needed help. I'm headed into my 2nd year at WVU as an MIS major. I had around a 3.0 in HS and around a 1100 on my SATs. I currently have a 3.6 at WVU and I might be looking to transfer. I really want to land a good job out of college and I'm worried that WVU's low prestige will hurt my chances. The three schools I was looking at were PSU, Pitt, UNC. However, UNC doesn't have MIS. So my questions are what schools would you recommend for MIS that I could have a shot of transfering into? Or do you think I would be better off dropping MIS and trying to get into UNC and major in something else?

mis = management information systems?

in terms of prestige, i don't think psu and pitt are really that much better at all.

on the other hand, unc is very well-known and a lot more prestigious than all of those schools. i think you'd be better off dropping MIS and majoring in something else at UNC.

I agree with the_aspirant. Pitt, PSU, and WVU are all on about the same level, but if you can get into UNC, go for it.

hmm. pitt and psu are way better than wvu.

^^yea that is the same thing i was thinking, pitt and PSU are wayyyy better than WVU.
