Does your community college or former school gpa get calculated into your new school's transcript or do you get a clean slate? Does it depend on the school you are transferring from/ school you are transfering in to? I know that UC-UC transfers keep their same UC gpa.

Usually you start clean, but grad schools see everything.
Most often you will get a satisfactory answer to question like this by doing some preliminary research.

CNCL can you elaborate on what/where to do the research?

I'll answer this. As far as graduating with latin honors and all that junk is concerned, your GPA is solely based on whatever is taken at UC. When it comes to grad schools, your CC GPA will count.

mexbruin,
For example, if you have a specific college/graduate school in mind, it is probably best to go to their website to find the answer.

I see, thanks. But at this point I have no idea as far as what schools I want to attend. I'm thinking law school, maybe master's or the business sector.
