So I see per UT website that they are using the plus/minus scale for transfer GPA calculation. Anyone know what they calculate if your school uses a straight 4.0 scale? Do they recalculate?

Also, will the CAP students GPA be calculated using the plus/minus scale? I don’t see anything on the UT site that says they are an exception to the rule. This could seriously affect students who think their 91 counts at a 4 instead of a 3.67.

I’m pretty sure UT will calculate what is on your transcript. So if on your transcript it shows an A, then UT will calculate it as a 4.0. UT has no way of knowing if your A is a 91 or not. But if your school transcript shows it to be an A-, then yes, it will count as a 3.67 instead of a 4.0. It’s the same for CAP students, UT will still also calculate whatever is on your transcript according to your school.
