Transfer GPA Question

Next semester I am transferring to a new University. I have already been accepted to this University and all that is needed to finalize it is my final transcript. However, I sadly managed to do poorly in a Spanish class and it lowered my gpa by .23. I know that as a transfer student I should keep the GPA I was admitted at, but is this a rule that has exceptions. For example, would they still allow my acceptance but give me a probationary period for the resto of the semester or something similar.

I don’t think a third of a letter grade is enough to revoke acceptance unless that put you below a C average. Schools seem to generally say they’ll accept credits from courses with a C or better. Even if you have one class that you didn’t get above a C in, as long as the rest are still good grades I would think they’d be understanding about it.

I think we’d need to know the pre and post GPA, and how Spanish relates to your intended major. But I would think you might be fine.
