Transfer GPA Threshold Question

I was just browsing around some college sites for transfers and I would see some GPA thresholds higher than the other such as:

CSULB requires Economics majors to have at least a 2.25 GPA, but they require let's say business/engineering majors to have at least a 2.5 GPA.

My question that I'm really wondering is that since the Economics GPA requirement is lower than the Business majors requirement, would it be easier to transfer into the college as an Economic major, rather than a business major?

That's the assumption that I'm making, so what do you guys think?

Generally, yes.

Just a heads up, it would be a good idea to have a better GPA than the threshold. The 2.25 GPA for CSULB is just the minimum. You’d have a greater chance if say, you get a 3.0 overall GPA; just my opinion. :)
