Transfer GPA to UC GPA

Upon transferring to a UC from a CCC, what happens to your GPA? I've heard from one person that you do not get to keep the GPA you earned through CC (credits are applied only), as the UCs start you off fresh and want you to earn a pure UC GPA. Is this true? Is there a website that says anything about it?

yeah it's true.... But, grad schools look at both.

I am not sure if UC uses cc gpa to determine if u graduate w/ honors...

you start off with a 0 GPA. I believe for intercampus you get to keep your old UC GPA (i hope!!!)

exactly uc to uc u keep ur old gpa

Yes, it is true... many transferring students know that when you transfer from CCC to UC, you will start fresh with your new GPA and some counselors from CCC as well as UCs representatives have confirmed this fact.
