Transfer GPA to UC

I am currently finishing up my first semester of junior college and am considering schools to transfer to. What is the average GPA is for a student transferring from Community College to UCLA or UCSB?

UCLA posts their transfer GPAs by specific major. Here are Fall 2010 stats for College of Letters majors to get you started: [Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2010 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof10_mjr.htm)

I don’t know if UCSB has a detailed chart like UCLA, but it did say that the mean gpa was a 3.44. Do assume that this shifts for different majors as well.

Actually UCLA just updated the Fall 2011 stats: [Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2011 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof11_mjr.htm).

UCSB publishes some admit information at http://bap.ucsb.edu/IR/New_Stud_Prof/Profile,%20Trans2011-3rd%20Week.pdf</a> but there is no GPA. You can look up the GPA by searching UC StatFinder at [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/) but the data is old (Fall 2009 is the latest data available).

LOL! Wow, average admitted GPA for American Indian Studies - 3.26 GPA for UCLA
