Transfer GPA

Hi,
I recently submitted an application to transfer to Rutgers for the Fall 2011 semester. I applied to SAS and SEBS. Just a quick question: I am currently a sophomore at a four year college in NJ and my college GPA is a 3.41. This past semester at my current school I got all A-'s except for a C in organic chemistry, which is what brought my GPA down a bit. How bad do you think the C looks in terms of my chances of being admitted? My other stats include: a 4.2 weighted/3.95 unweighted high school GPA, 1980/2400 SAT, and a 29 ACT. I'm just not sure how much they'll even look at this information since I already have 53 credits.

Also, on the application status screen it says that they still need a college transcript updated through December 2010. Do you think this means they received my transcript (which I sent out mid-December) but need an updated one with the past semester grades, or that they didn't receive it at all?

Thank so much for the help, much appreciated!!

“C” will not look that bad, because your overall GPA still 3.0 above. My bro’s friend got into SAS with 3.1. If you have more than 30+ credits, I doubt they will even look at your High School stats.

Regarding the college transcript, Rutgers wants all your grade through Fall 2010. I think it says in the reqs, that you have to submit all the grade through the application’s due date which is Feb 1st.

I’m in the same boat with you, I’m applying to the SAS and the Business school for Fall 2011. I applied back in Novembe and recently I just updated my Fall 2010 grade.

Good luck.

just wondering if you got in… Im applying fal 2012 and i just got 1 C this fall semester too. Ive had a downward trend in GPA… 3.75 to 3.65 and this semester 3As 1B and 1 C giving me a 3.1 unfortunately.
