Transfer GPA

Quick question - if I'm applying to a school like Brown that doesn't utilize +/- when calculating GPA, but my current school does, will my GPA be recalculated? It seems like a silly question but it makes a sizable difference in my grade point..

what do you mean? what is plus or minus?

you start over with a new GPA at your new school....so if you have a 3.0 now, then get a 4.0 at your new school, your GPA will be a 4.0 for that school

By no +/-, I mean that an A- and an A both count as 4.0, a B-, B and B+ all count as 3.0, etc. My question is, will they recalculate the GPA I'm applying with when they're deciding on my application?

Could someone tell me how to calculate my GPA, i took 16 credits last semester.

You multiply the grade points (A=4, B=3, and so on ) by the number of units for each class, add them all up and then divide by the total units (16 in your case).

carmax36 - most likely not...call the admissions office
