Transfer graduation length and classes

Hey everyone,

I recently received admission asa transfer student into CS and all my credits have been accounted for. I am noticing though that the "thread" I have chosen and pretty much any "thread", you need to take class A before class B starting from almost the beginning of freshman year. This would then put me all the way back to my spring semester of freshman year and I will not be able to take other CS classes because the pre request is to take class A first. I have finished all my other garbage classes like my sciences with labs/ social sciences/ and humanities. I noticed I am now limited with choosing classes for the fall. Do transfer have a different plan or does administration pull some strings for transfers regarding pre requests? This would pretty much make me be in in college for another 4 years! any current transfers could tell me how long they will be in school for?

Thank you all!

Did you get AP or other credit for the first CS class? If so are you sure you are looking at the prereq’s correctly? If I look at the link below it looks like most threads wouldn’t take that long.

@MichiganGeorgia‌, I did get credit for the first one but as a CS major we need to pick 2 threads and not just a single one so I am following the Devices & system and architecture from this link: <a href=“Thread Combination Credit Sheets, Academic Year 22-23 | College of Computing”>http://www.cc.gatech.edu/current/undergraduates/academics/plans
