Transfer help/advice?

I am currently a sophomore at Colgate, and i am finding that i am quite unhappy here. I am premed and have done fairly well but not amazingly in my classes (3.12 gpa) but i have a very good hs record. I want to transfer mostly because i just havent been able to find a good group of reliable friends. I have friends, just not good ones and i feel very lonely most of the time and end up eating and stuff by myself alot. Essentially what happened is I made a group of friends during the first couple weeks but after a few months i got "kicked out" of the group, and by that point everyone else already had their friends. I am also very involved and do a bunch of activites, but it has not helped. I have decided if im not happy by the end of this semester i need to get out. The only problem is i dont know where to go.

I am a fairly "normal" kid, and i do have a lot of good friends back home. I am definitely a partier but im more laid back than most here at colgate, and i prefer to drink and hang out and have a good time, rather than pregame quickly to go out to a loud noisy frat. I like to snowboard, play hockey and lacrosse, and enjoy winter so i definitely want somewhere cold. As a girl id rather wear sweats to class but then clean up nicely later, which also sets me apart from the girls here who feel the need to look their best at all times. I think i just overall want somewhere more laid back, but im scared to sacrifice academics. Ive thought about UVM, Middlebury, and maybe something like a UDenver, but im really pretty lost. Can anyone reccomend somewhere that might be a good fit for me as a transfer? Thanks for the help and sorry for the crazy long post but im really stuck.

Middlebury is near impossible–they take only a couple of transfers (and some years, none), and I’ve only heard of athletes being accepted.
UDenver and UVM are a lot more likely. Other good choices might be Colorado College and CU-Boulder.
