Transfer Help

Unlike most people posting here, I'm actually attempting to transfer out of umich. I'm a sophomore who took primarily science and math classes (chem, bio, physics, calcs), however, the intense course load really killed my gpa, which is currently at 2.8. The thing is I really am not interested in science (i took the classes because math and science is all I've ever known and I felt pressured to take those classes) and I want a fresh start at a new college. The new start would primarily reset my gpa and allow me to get away from Michigan.

I would love to go to a school on one of the coasts and study law and finance. Those are my true passions and I learn and read about history and the current market everyday instead of focusing on my classes. So does anyone have information on schools that I could possibly transfer to? All schools I really want to get in probably won't accept me because of such a low gpa.

What kinda schools do you have in mind? You probably won’t be able to aim at top 20 with a 2.8, but it might help if you aced courses related to law and finance in your freshman year. Or perhaps you took up some leadership positions in college?

Three in the Seattle/Tacoma area I like are U of Washington, Puget Sound University and Seattle University. Look into them; I think you will like what you see and Seattle is fantastic.
