Hi everyone, I’m applying as a transfer student to SLO for Fall 2014 as a Business Administration major with a question about GE requirements. I was accepted into the Disney College Program for the Spring semester, so I will be taking only online courses for next semester, which really impacts the amount of classes that I can take. I’m confident I will have done all my pre-reqs by the time of entry, but depending on next semester’s course schedules and my enrollment time, I may or may not be missing a biological sciences course for my IGETC/CSU-GE Breadth. How much would missing this course (or just not having GEs done in general) affect my chances of getting in? I currently have a 3.66 GPA. Thanks!

They shouldn’t matter that much, but keep in mind you will need to complete them in the future. Since you probably won’t be freshmen standing credit wise, the best time for getting your required GE would be during when you have a high (or priority) rotation for class registration.

The average GPA for transfers is approximately 3.5, so a 3.66 puts you into a good position.
