So I went to two different community colleges and really screwed up at the first one because of a lot of stuff that happened too long to explain right now. Anyway I went to a different one and did better, but now I have a combined transfer gpa of 2.5. Is there ANY school that will take me. I am applying as a religious studies major to CSULB, CSUF, Humboldt, and CSULA. Also I am going to apply to a few UC’s because for UC’s my gpa is around a 3.2 I guess because they forgive grades from previous cc’s that were retaken at a different one. The UC’s im applying to are UCR, UCD, and UCI, also for religious studies. Im hoping since religious studies is not impacted at any of the schools they’ll consider me. Im tripping the F*** out right now!!!
If you have not, send a transcript that show your good grades now to your old CC and contact their counseling department to apply for academic renewal, you can normally make Ds and Fs not count against you for most schools. For example I was in a similar situation, and had 2 CCs in my past with bad grades. One let me wipe out 2 semesters and the other let me wipe out 2 semesters Ds and Fs only. Each campus has their own version. I’m in south Orange County and if you go to my CC and want to meet up message me. The UCs look at your current accomplishments whereas the CSUs don’t. Apply for CSU Dominguez Hills as a backup.
