I graduated from High School in May 2008 and I just started taking classes at a community college this fall and I absolutely hate it. My plan was to stay there for two years then transfer to a university. I would really like to transfer after this semester though to a different college is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. But only some colleges allow transfer in the spring, and only some of those for second semester freshmen.

What schools interest you?

Tomorrow, stop by the transfer office at your community college and make an appointment with one of the advisors. They will be able to help you figure out where you can go next semester.

Good Luck!

If you ended up at community college because of grades, be prepared to stay there to repair them. No college will be impressed by one semester of work (really, a half-semester since admissions decisions are made before the semester ends). All colleges look at your high school record until you have completed at least 1 full year in college.
