I am currently a sophomore Computer Science student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I have a 2.8 college GPA, had a 3.1 GPA in high school along with a 30 ACT. I do have one drop (Grade of W, in Calc II) but I am retaking it right now and I should end up with a B in it. I am hoping to get my GPA to a 3.0+ with the conclusion of this semester. I am not applying to the College of Engineering because I do not have enough credits.

I know my GPA isn't great, but I have taken a lot of difficult CIS courses. Does MSU take the difficulty of your classes/major into account when you apply for transfer? I saw one person on these boards who was accepted as a transfer from UofM-D with a 2.9 GPA. I applied in late January for Fall 2011 and I should be hearing back in April. What do you guys think my chances are?

Thanks in advance!
