Does anyone know how housing selection is done with transfers? I'm waiting on the decision and it occurred to me that it could be a mess(like my school). Anyone know anything about it? Also, where's a good place to live if I get a chance to pick.

They send you that info after you've been accepted. Apperently they set aside housing in Gooch/Dillard strictly for transfers, but they place transfers elsewhere. They said not to worry about it until you get accepted or not, they'll send you a ton of info then =)

Check my blog (http://uvaapplication.blogspot.com/). I wrote about transfer housing a short time ago.

I sent them an email
"I recently found out that the Housing Division had set aside 150 rooms in Gooch/Dillard for incoming Fall transfers. I was wondering if this means that all transfers will live in Gooch/Dillard? Also, what are the top three dorms that fall transfers live in?"

they replied:
"Transfer students live in all of university housing (majority will be at Gooch/Dillard - it is guaranteed to the first 150 who have Gooch/Dillard as their number 1 choice). We have a number of transfer students who live at Copeley and Hereford College."
